Description

“A Christmas Carol” was written in 1897 with both music and text by Charles Ives. Though Ives is best known for his experimental works, this gentle and timeless carol reveals his lyrical side. Warm and reflective in character, it pairs beautifully with “Silent Night,” “O Little Town of Bethlehem,” or other traditional Christmas selections, and lends itself beautifully to horn quartet.
