All You Need Is Love

The last movement, “Undulations,” represents the underlying motion of everyday life. The 7/16 meter is uneven, much like the potential surprises found around any corner. Sections repeat, but with some almost imperceptible changes. Dynamics undulate gradually throughout, from extreme softs to almost unbearable louds, but the overall structure is much like a person’s day: you awaken in near silence and eventually find sleep, which takes you into a new silence.
